I like to paint Iran.  I like Iran.  Iran has cool writing.  It's like magic.  The mosque is a place where people go to pray like a church.  I have been to a mosque in Iran.  There is a graveyard next to it.  We went there to pray for my grandfather and Uncle Ali.  I would like to live in Iran.

The food in Iran is different from ours.  My grandmother in Iran is a good cook.  They buy their food from markets.  Each market has different kinds of foods.  They don't have grocery stores like in America.

I want people to say "I love your paintings."  I want them to see how Iran is to me.  I think it's an interesting place because its different and that's where my Dad's family is from."   Kevin Hosseini, age 15, January 2010
